Restoring Backups

Externable takes care of you backups automatically - they are taken every day (or taken additionally on demand) and kept for 7 days. You can restore them in My Portals.

IMPORTANT: To restore the backup there can't be any backup in progress.

  1. To restore the backup, go to Backups tab and click on Restore Backup:
  2. Select backup from the list of all backups available, select target instance, acknowledge that your target instance will be overwritten and click 'Yes, I want to restore backup':

NOTE:While backup is being restored, your portal instance will not be accessible

Trick: Using backups and restoring is a good approach if you want to copy one instance to another
